Job Summary

The Cloud DevOps group is responsible for innovation in the cloud infrastructure and automation space for Zoom Engineering. Zoom’s size, culture, and the support we receive from every area the company work together to create an unusual amount of agility. We’re using that to put together world-class development and production infrastructures, built on the best of the technologies available today, almost completely unhindered by design debt. Our goal is to make our developers’ dreams come true, while continuing to advance a bulletproof production infrastructure in which their code can run.

Within the group, a successful candidate for team lead will manage and support 5-7 staff members. We’re looking for someone excited by the prospect of managing and growing a small team, while remaining truly hands-on and technical in a forward-thinking and capable DevOps organization. The team lead will work with the group director to set goals, manage projects, and shape the direction of the team’s work, as well as helping to bring that work to completion.

As a project contributor, team leads will help build, improve, and support our infrastructure in the areas of performance, reliability, management, and cost, through automation, config management, infrastructure coding, code review, performance and cost analysis, tech evaluation and implementation, and the support and maintenance of our DevOps software stacks and cloud technologies.
