Director, Sales & Market Development

Due to all of this growth, we are adding a Director of Sales & Market Development to our team.  This highly visible position will be responsible for leading a team of up to 20 resources responsible for engaging with inbound leads and doing outbound prospecting.  The mission of this team is to set quality meetings and demos for both [1] New Business Account Executives and [2] Retention & Growth (existing customer) sales resources.

The team will be comprised of individuals focused on different sets of responsibilites, including:

  • Engaging with “hot” inbound leads from web form-fills and trial requests to set demos and meetings for sales resources
  • Engaging with “soft” inbound leads from content downloads, banner ads, etc.
  • Prospecting and doing “cold” outreach to set quality meetings for sales resources
  • Calling into the existing customer base to secure additional orders

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Define team objectives to enable achievement of daily, weekly and quarterly targets
  • Hire, train, and ramp up new sales & market development representatives in support of growing the team
  • Understanding and orchestrating the best processes for the team across sales tools including SalesForce.com, Fuze, Outreach, and more
  • Sales planning and forecast management
  • Day to day training and coaching of reports
  • Tracking and monitoring of team KPIs
  • Budget planning
  • Performance management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and performance-oriented culture

Minimum requirements:

  • 5+ years B2B sales development experience
  • 2+ years B2B sales development management/leadership experience
  • High proficiency in Saleforce.com, CPQ, Outreach, and Excel
  • Experience with business intelligence tools
  • Ability to communicate with, present to, and influence all levels of an organization
  • Superior time management and communication skills
  • Ability to travel (10%)

Required Education:

  • B.S./B.A. degree (M.B.A. is a plus)
